When we mentioned "eating", everyone must have so many words to express.

Today I will introduce some Chinese food. Let's look at following:


馄饨 hún tún  wonton


Do you know the difference between 大馄饨's filling and 小馄饨's filling?


饺子 jiǎo zi  dumpling


汤圆  tāng yuán Tangyuan


粽子 zòng zǐ   rice dumpling

Here is a story for eating rice dumpling. Do you know the classic allusion?



南瓜饼 nán guā bǐng  pumpkin cake


春卷 chūn juǎn   spring roll (a thin sheet of dough, rolled, stuffed and fried)


烧卖  shāo mài  steamed open dumplings


小笼包  xiǎo lóng   bāo    shanghai juicy steamed bun (thin skinned, pork filled with ginger)

馄饨 hún tún = wan4 tan1 (wonton) Cantonese = the English wonton is from this
