I'd like to share the story of the day I realized people could understand my 普通话 pǔ tōng huà.
For years I've been interested in Mandarin. The language is ancient, unique and the characters themselves intricate and beautiful. I've learned by myself, learned from both Chinese friends and Chinese-speaking colleagues at work. I delight in picking up…

There are hundreds of dance demo / instruction dance videos on Youtube by a dance instructor named Jenny or LineDanceDallas from either Taiwan on some videos or Plano Texas on other videos.
She speaks perfect English and does not seem to have a Texan accent. Native Chinese will have to judge her Chinese speaking. She covers many types of dances that can be done without a partner such as Polkas, Reels, Rumbas, country and western line dances, etc. Here are a few…

Hi everyone!
Some of you may already be familiar with the Russian party game "Mafia" (also known as "Werewolves"). I've given the game a bit of a Chinese makeover (based more-so on "Werewolves" than the original, because it's more fun in my opinion!).
