Learn Mandarin Online from Teachers and Students
I just found this nifty online translator which provides clear and slow pronunciation of each character, including detailed explanations as well as correlation to HSK levels. It's really useful to me as my skype instructor will send characters related to a reading passage for me to review. It is great to have a place to (cut and) paste these characters to get more practice with pronunciation and definitions. I've tried a few other translation sites but the voice quality for listening to characters was too fast and/or a tad too robotic sounding for me. The webpage on this site below does not look very fancy but once you paste characters in the translator box, it brings up a detailed, color coded list of pronunciation, definitions etc. It is also a dictionary and has quizzes to help with learning. Has anyone used something different or used this website?
