Learn Mandarin Online from Teachers and Students
Hi all -
A couple of friends in China have recently launched a new app for studying Mandarin on the go using trending stories in China called Amanda.
You can check out screenshots below and try downloading the iOS app. It's free.
It's mostly a vocabulary-builder with a lot of reading practice thrown in. You can customize the language for your short stories, translate & save individual words for later review.
Please add your comments on the app, good or bad, along with any suggestions for improvements to this discussion thread below I'll share them with my friends.
Their app description:
Amanda, a brand new take on learning Chinese. Pick up words effortlessly through daily trending stories in China. Now available to download on Apple App Store here.
- Keep updated with the most authentic, interesting and current stories happening right now in China
- Easily switch between Chinese and English
- Audio for entire articles and individual words to assist with pronunciation
- Customizable wordlist to collect your favorite word
