Great job Gustavo, you expressed your idea very clearly.
Only one little typing mistake. The measure word for tree is 棵, not 颗
棵 has the radical 木, that may help you remember it is for tree. :)
门前有一棵树 there is a tree in front of the door
颗 is more often used for solid independent item, such as, star, diamond,
Thanks very much for correcting me!
我的小圣诞树是假的。 我会在我妈妈的房子圣诞节期间, 她有一棵树大的， 可是她的树还假的。
Good job horakely!
Let me see if I understand you correctly.
My little Christmas tree is a fake one. I will be at my mom's house during the Christmas. She has a big tee. But it is a fake one.
If so, here are some adjustments:
I will be at my mom's house during the Christmas.
She has a big tee.
But hers is a fake one.
Wǒ de shèngdànshù shì xūnǐ de. Tā kěyǐ shì zhēn de háishì jiǎ de, zhè qǔjué yú wǒ de xīnqíng.
My Christmas tree is virtual. It can be real or fake, depending on my mood.
Nice work, Thomas.
Only one thing. When we translate 'or' into Chinese, the corresponding Chinese may be different in statement and question.
In statement sentence, or is more likely translated as 或者
I would like to chose red or orange.
While in question , or is more likely translated as 还是
Do you want red or orange?
So in your sentence, It can be real or fake.
Thanks Iris. I did not even realize what the difference was between these 2 forms of "or" in Mandarin.
我从未有过圣诞树，或许是我是中国人的原因。但是学英语之后我开始关注这方面的事情，好期待将来我能有一颗属于自己的圣诞树，and wish you merry christmas~
