There is site called FluentFix that has a good Newbie section.  Here is a post from this week:

In the near future FluentFix proposes to have a paid service in which all Chinese ( Maybe just Mandarin for now ) Music Videos have English subtitles on  ( or through ) their site ( I am not too sure of the mechanics of this yet ).  Also, I am not sure if there will be a free Music Video section or not.  Since I am on a pension and many of you are still students or too poor for the paid subscription, we will not be involved in this new service.  But we can take advantage of the free offerings such as the link above.

FluentFlix send me this recently ( partial email):

... FluentFlix beta is launching on September 3rd! After months of development and testing, we are thrilled to introduce the world to a new way to learn Chinese through authentic online video.

Don't want to wait until September 3rd? Don't! All it takes to feast your eyes on the web's newest and hottest Chinese learning website is a simple @ or retweet!  Find us on Twitter here, or simply click here to Tweet!

We have been working on this for the better part of a year, and are thrilled to bring this concept to fruition. Think about it- a website featuring over 200 (and quickly increasing!) authentic Chinese language online videos featuring a huge variety of content, all expertly subtitled in our smooth video engine, with a built-from-scratch dictionary and intelligent vocab review.    .....
