I'm learning English now,so I've shared many useful daily expressions on my renren page(renren.com just like myspace.com or facebook.com), I think it may help you if I translate them into Chinese! :)

Here we go:

1.What's wrong with you?
你怎么回事? nǐ zěn me huí shì?

2.He can't come to the phone now.
他现在不能接电话。tā xiàn zài bù néng jīe diàn huà
  (can't=不能,接电话=answer the phone)

3.I want a cup of coffee.
我想要一杯咖啡。wǒ xiǎng yào yī bēi kā fēi.
  (want=想要,a cup of=一杯,coffee=咖啡)

4.Don't be silly.
 别胡闹了。 bíe hú nào le

5.What's going on?
 怎么了? zěn me le?

Okey, enough for today, if any of you found my sentences useful for your studies, then I would keep updating.:)

 I want a doggy bag.

 我想要一个打包

 Wǒ xiǎng yào yīgè dǎbāo

augh seung yew yat go dǎbāo   (Cantonese)

    or

 我想要打包

 Wǒ xiǎng yào dǎbāo

 augh seung yew dǎbāo   (Cantonese)

    or

 我要一个打包

 Wǒ yào yīgè dǎbāo

augh yew yat go dǎbāo   (Cantonese)

  or

 我要打包

 Wǒ yào dǎbāo

 augh yew dǎbāo   (Cantonese)

   or

 打包

 dǎbāo

All expressions will get you a doggy bag after a meal at a Chinese eatery.  Also 买单 mǎidān  (pay the  bill or bill to be paid) may be substituted for   打包   dǎbāo   above.

  Example:

   Bill please.

   请买单

   Qǐng mǎidān

    mm-goi mǎidān  (Cantonese)

Haha... Brandon, I love number 4 too.

Please, keep going Ms.Zhang, this is very interesting. Sometimes, I watched the movies and heard some expressions like those, but then, I found it difficult to look up the meaning. There are not so much information about daily expressions as grammar or such things.

I think there is no difference between them, just wǒ yào is a curt way to say I want... however wǒ xiǎng yào is a euphemistic way to say I want...

Great, I like 别胡闹了。 bíe hú nào le.

What is the difference in meaning between wǒ xiǎng yào ... and wǒ yào.... I usually just say wǒ yào... when asking for things or talking about what I want.
