Geography Fail - QingDao "center of universe" map puts China in the US

This photo was taken on a tour of TsingTao brewery. At the entrance is this 'map' of the universe where we guess that TsingTao was trying to say that their beer factory was the center of the universe or trying to put your location into perspective or something. But the problem is that it looks like they bought a shānzhài 山寨 globe image.

If you look at the photo close up below you can see that China is actually in North America...

What do you think? How did this happen? What's your guess about why this poster exists? Anyone know how to say 'center of the universe'?

"Hi Debbie, Thanks for the suggestions. I've looked at yoyochinese and will think about doing the full course….right now I feel like I'm pretty scattered in my learning patterns.  How long have you studied Chinese for?"

"Hi Lolly! I spent quite a long time looking at stuff on the internet before I went with something. I find yoyochinese very good indeed ~ just what you want for conversation. To get the full course, you do need to pay, but it is reasonable and you…"

"I just started to study Chinese about 1 month ago. My goal is to be conversationally fluent so I probably won't put much energy into learning the characters.  Right now I'm looking for as many free online resources as possible, so any…"
