Geography Fail - QingDao "center of universe" map puts China in the US


This photo was taken on a tour of TsingTao brewery. At the entrance is this 'map' of the universe where we guess that TsingTao was trying to say that their beer factory was the center of the universe or trying to put your location into perspective or something. But the problem is that it looks like they bought a shānzhài 山寨 globe image.

If you look at the photo close up below you can see that China is actually in North America...


What do you think? How did this happen? What's your guess about why this poster exists? Anyone know how to say 'center of the universe'?
